Save the date: The next “Big Berks” will take place from Thursday, June 1 – 4, 2017.
The Berkshire Conference on the History of Women, Genders, and Sexualities will be going to Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY, 25 miles east of New York City. Hofstra is minutes from JFK and La Guardia airports, and easily reachable from Manhattan and Brooklyn. The University’s 240 acre campus is also a nationally recognized arboretum. In early June the campus is in full bloom and at its loveliest.
The 2017 conference, entitled Difficult Conversations: Thinking and Talking About Women, Genders, and Sexualities Within and Without the Academy, promises to build on the success of our first ever international conference in Toronto in May 2014. That conference broke all records with over 2000 registrants.
The Book Exhibit remains an integral part of the Berkshire Conference. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to present your list, meet prospective adopters and authors, and make significant sales. The Exhibit will be held in a newly-renovated events space in the heart of the campus, located in the Student Center, with all dining facilities and meeting rooms close at hand. We will make every effort to facilitate your participation, helping you to resolve logistical or commercial concerns that might arise.
For now, please make a note of and save the date. If you have not yet heard from us but would be interested in getting more information about exhibiting at the conference please click here and leave your contact information. We will follow-up by Fall 2016 with email correspondence containing more detailed information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to seeing you in Hempstead, at Hofstra, June 1-4, 2017.
