March 2017 update on “Big Berks” Book Exhibit:

The Berkshire Conference on the History of Women, Genders, and Sexualities will be held at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY, 25 miles east of New York City June 1st to 4th.   Hofstra is 20 minutes from JFK and La Guardia airports, and easily reachable via railroad from Manhattan and Brooklyn. The University’s 240 acre campus is also a nationally recognized arboretum. In early June the campus is in full bloom and at its loveliest.

The 2017 conference, entitled Difficult Conversations: Thinking and Talking About Women, Genders, and Sexualities Within and Without the Academy, promises to build on the success of our first ever international conference in Toronto in May 2014.   That conference broke all records with over 2000 registrants.

The Book Exhibit remains an integral part of the Berkshire Conference. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to present your list, meet prospective adopters and authors, and make significant sales. The Exhibit will be held in a newly-renovated events space in the heart of the campus, located in the Student Center, with all dining facilities and meeting rooms close at hand. We will make every effort to facilitate your participation, helping you to resolve logistical or commercial concerns that might arise.

Twenty four publishers have signed up to exhibit at the conference and there is space for several more.  Contact us if you are interested in being part of this wonderful event.

We look forward to seeing you in Hempstead, at Hofstra, in June.
